“Personal Shopper” is the Elton John-featuring electronic tour de force at the heart of Steven Wilson’s recently released sixth album. Now the track has been remixed by the mighty Nile Rodgers who adds a Chic-esque rhythm guitar before pulling completely new shapes out of the track, effortlessly melding NYC disco to European electro-pop.

Steven Wilson: “You can probably tell from ‘Personal Shopper’ that I grew up hearing a lot of disco music played in the Wilson house, including the classic Chic masterpieces, so it’s an absolute thrill to have Nile stamp his legendary signature sound on the track."

The second series of Steven Wilson and Tim Bowness’ podcast series The Album Years is currently running on all the usual streaming services. PRAISE FOR THE FUTURE BITES

“One of the greatest musical talents to emerge from the UK in the past three decades… Wilson’s strongest outing to date” - Record Collector

“OK Computer for the Amazon age... one of the boldest and best albums Wilson has made” - Prog

"Wilson always was a sharp songwriter and has adeptly channelled what could be unwieldy concepts into bite-size, polished pop. Not prog, but always progress" - The Guardian 4*

“A great, grown-up pop record - knowing and self-aware, but never too much for its own good” - Mojo 4*

"It is Wilson's most varied, least guitar driven album to date. If that dismays fans who came to him through the alienated-yet-epic rock of Porcupine Tree, so be it" - The Times
