THE PACK A.D. SIGNS WITH CADENCE MUSIC, RELEASES NEW SINGLE “SO WHAT”
VANCOUVER DUO ANNOUNCES TWO HOMETOWN PERFORMANCES ON MAY 12 AND 13 AT THE COBALT
Destruction and melody, acid wit and bruising vocals—this is The Pack A.D. Singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller have made a sound so gigantic, so fierce and raw and empowering, that it’s easy to forget there are just two people behind this brilliant, carefully constructed havoc.
Now the west coast duo are pleased to announce their signing with Cadence Music (Formerly MapleMusic Recordings). “We are so excited to welcome The Pack A.D. to the Cadence Music family,” says Cadence Music General Manager Tony Tarleton. “They have been favs in our office for a long time and we are all pumped to be working with them.” “Cadence has really gotten everything about us, it feels like we're fans in this together,” says Miller. “It’s a perfect recipe: two parts us, one part Cadence Music and then, like, all of Drake's Raptor courtside time. In a nutshell, I think we're all winning here.”
To celebrate The Pack A.D. is sharing their new single “So What” which is, muses the band, “an anthem for the major to minor disconnection and dissatisfaction in us all.”

Shredding and pounding their way through every song, the Pack A.D. swallows you whole inside their fearless Franken-blend of heavy psych-pop/garage-rock. Their lyrics are wild nests, human and complex; darkly funny disclosures about depression, indictments of digital excess, grief-stricken fire bombs, sly crusades against stupidity.
The Pack A.D. is also one of Canada’s “must-see” bands. Be it a massive stadium or the slightly seedy bar where everybody’s shoes stick to the carpet, The Pack A.D. have owned every spotlight and stolen every show they’ve ever played. Becky and Maya are relentless and riveting, playing with the kind of fuck-off freedom that makes everybody in the room vicarious rock stars, even if it’s just for the night. The Pack A.D. will perform in Vancouver on May 12 and May 13 at The Cobalt and more Canadian dates will be announced soon.
