Today, Fucked Up is sharing the first proper music video from their forthcoming double album, Dose Your Dreams, out October 5 via Arts & Crafts. Like the song, “Normal People” is a series of vignettes that attempt to make sense of daily life: bathtubs, balloons, subways, sure, but also spandex, clowns, and a conversation between our hero David Eliade (a.k.a. Damian Abraham) and Joyce Tops that invites David even further down the rabbit hole. Hold on tight:

The group shares the video along with January European tour dates. All tickets are on sale now, so grab some to the show nearest you today!
Dose Your Dreams continues the Fucked Up tradition of storytelling that rewards the tenacious listener with each spin. David—who once came to life—is now indentured to a desk job. David meets the elderly Joyce Tops who closes his eyes, opens his mind, and sends him on a spiritual journey. David embarks on his own metaphysical odyssey which includes adventures such as a stage adaptation of his own life and an angel in a lightbulb. He sees an infinite series of universes as simulations within simulations. Meanwhile, Lloyd—Joyce’s lover—was sent, decades ago, by Joyce on the same odyssey, but was lost in the void. Lloyd seeks to be found and reunited with his lover. Where will David end up? Will Joyce and Lloyd be reunited? Dose Your Dreams to find out.
