Acclaimed singer/songwriter Donovan Woods is sharing his live performance video for “It’ll Work Itself Out”. Shot at the historic Massey Hall in Toronto, as part of their Ghost Light Sessions series, the track appears on his recently released four-song digital EP, They Are Going Away. Of the song, Woods says, “I suppose this is about feeling that if you travel furiously enough your problems won’t catch up and, ideally, will take care of themselves. This is not true.”

This weekend, Woods is up for the 2017 JUNO Award for Songwriter Of The Year and will perform at the JUNO Songwriters’ Circle in Ottawa on April 2 hosted by Bruce Cockburn. Woods recently finished a string of tour dates with Alan Doyle, and will continue on the road in Canada throughout the Spring. Before he arrives in Ottawa to celebrate his nomination he will perform in Nashville at the prestigious Tin Pan South Songwriter’s Festival. Full tour dates can be found below.

Recently signed with Warner Chappell Music, Woods has penned songs for Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Charlie Worsham, and Charles Kelley, who recorded “Leaving Nashville” for his solo release. The New York Times and Rolling Stone hailed the song from Kelley’s album as “a beautiful song” and “stark, stunning ballad.” Woods’ version of the song is included on Hard Settle, Ain’t Troubled.
