Chad VanGaalen and his backing band, The Bleach Wipes, just wrapped up nearly 50 date tour covering Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and France — where they managed to squeeze in a picturesque rooftop session for Mowno before their show in Paris. The band played a stripped down acoustic set, turning out mellow versions of Light Information tunes “Host Body” and “Static Shape”.

Today, VanGaalen also premieres a single through Adult Swim, with the driving instrumental "Dust on Dust (Dog Walking Jammer)". The new track caps off the outlet’s year-long Singles Program. The appropriately-titled jammer is representative of his more electronic and instrumental work that doesn’t always make it to his solo albums.

On December 21, Chad and The Bleach Wipes will appear on CBC’s q, performing a few tunes from Light Information. The band stopped in at CBC headquarters on the final leg of this year’s Canadian tour, where they chatted with Tom Power about the new album, as well as Chad’s multi-faceted life as an animator and visual artist. Chad and the band’s recent Indie 88 Collective Arts Black Box Session will also air in January.
Chad VanGaalen and the Bleach Wipes have some more Canadian dates for 2018 in support of Light Information, beginning January 19 in Winnipeg at The Good Will and ending January 27 in Edmonton at the Starlite Room. Full tour dates can be found below.
