"Blending elements of jazz, soul, folk, and R&B, Wilson writes deeply personal lyrics and delivers them with the expertise of a seasoned vocalist." - Complex
"Charlotte Day Wilson is one of those artists that reminds us you don't need to be overpowering in order to command a track. She's a master of understanding when to let her voice be the focal point, and when to let it take the backseat to her smooth, electro-soul production." - Pigeons & Planes
"Slow-burning, smoldering jazz and R&B-influenced sound that already feels classic." - Nylon

Today, Charlotte Day Wilson released the video for her stirring single "Work". Directed by Fantavious Fritz, the concept is simple, depicting women on their way to work but, conveys a powerful statement of unity, arriving in timely form following last weekend's global Women's Marches. Wilson calls the video "an afternoon of camaraderie with an amazing group of women, genderqueer and trans folks from my community in Toronto. People got to know each other, make new friends and bask in the powerful energy that occupied an otherwise ordinary, mundane space."
NPR’s First Watch premiered the video today, calling it "a minimalist piece that alludes, silently and elegantly, to the nascent movement quickly calcifying around it. Its simple premise... amounts to a soundless scream washed - outside of Wilson's striking red - in earthen hues tuned lovingly to Wilson's wide, bright, humid voice."

MORE PRAISE FOR “WORK”
"'Work' has a soulful ambience that is heightened by Wilson's sighed harmonies and evocative storytelling... For any hustler on the move, 'Work' is an ode to honoring commitment, to the beauty of mastering your own destiny. Wilson is evidently doing just that." - Pitchfork
"'Work' is a song that moves slow as snowfall, a thick layer of organ harmonies are nudged toward crescendo by the lazy shuffle of drums and the quiet flicker of a guitar. For Charlotte, 'Work' isn't about the breathless, anxiety-inducing approach to getting shit done, but the courage that comes through tenacity." - The Fader
