Vancouver power-trash trio Needles//Pins haved teamed up with Mint Records and Portland’s Dirt Cult Records to release the third LP, Good Night, Tomorrow, due out June 30. The album’s first single, “Back To The Bright” premiered today via NPR who said “It's a steady-paced anthem big on the soaring chorus led by Adam Solomonian's gruff voice. ...Needles//Pins puts the emphasis on the tried-and-true riffs of the heartland boogie.”

Recorded with Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung) in Vancouver at Rain City Recorders, Good Night, Tomorrow shows an organic growth from the power pop of their previous two albums. Guitarist/Vocalist Adam Solomonian’s voice is gruffer from playing hundreds of shows, and you can see a richer appreciation of the group’s influences such as Jawbreaker and The Replacements at play in the song writing. Tony Dubroy’s solid bass lines and Macey Budgell’s heavy drumming combine to form a powerful rhythm section that perfectly complement Solomonian’s simplistic-but-pointed guitar playing.

The record is a progression both musically and lyrically from their older material while still maintaining the hook-centric philosophy of their previous releases. Needles//Pins have become legendary in Vancouver for wild shows and gruff, catchy punk rock melodies. They draw from classic punk roots like the wiry pop of The Buzzcocks and the gravely anthems of Stiff Little Fingers, but have a unique West Coast approach that would align them with the catchiest of the Lookout! or Dirtnap Records catalog. Though none of the band’s songs overstay their welcome, you’ll find yourself humming one of their hooks days after seeing them play.

PRE-ORDER GOOD NIGHT, TOMORROW HERE

Beginning April 22, Needles//Pins will take to the road in Spring to support Good Night, Tomorrow and will follow with a heavy North American tour this summer. More dates to be announced soon. Pre-orders of Good Night, Tomorrow will receive a limited edition grey sky marble vinyl of the LP.

Rocket is the Philadelphia-based artist’s eighth full-length release—an assured statement that follows a slate of humble masterpieces, many of them self-recorded and self-released, stretching from 2010’s RACE to his 2015 Domino debut, Beach Music. Rocket’s sessions began shortly after Beach Music’s ended, with Alex tracking songs at home, by himself and with friends, in the gaps between a hectic 2015 and 2016 touring schedule. Rocket was mixed by Jacob Portrait (Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Bass Drum of Death), who also lent his hand to Beach Music, giving the album a fine-tuning that retains the homespun personality of earlier efforts.

Rocket is available to pre-order now on limited red translucent vinyl, limited red translucent cassette (Domino Mart exclusive), limited random colourway cassette (Bandcamp exclusive), CD, and digital download.

PRAISE FOR “BOBBY” AND “WITCH”

“He offers salvation in a distant fiddle, a twanging guitar, and the voice of an old friend.” – Pitchfork - Best New Track (“Bobby”)

"timeless in both its instrumentation and its sentiment." – Stereogum (“Bobby”)

“The mystical “Witch”…follows in a lineage of hypnotic indie-rock that recalls Deerhunter and Sung Tongs-era Animal Collective.” – Entertainment Weekly

“Utterly shattering the expectations of a first release, this nearly perfect album brings the pop revelation you didn’t know you needed, with more clever tricks and memorable moments than many late career releases.” Northern Transmissions

Tei Shi is the moniker of Buenos Aires-born, Brooklyn-based Valerie Teicher. Following a string of vivacious and critically lauded performances on tour with MØ, Tei Shi is releasing her eagerly anticipated full length Crawl Space today via Arts & Crafts. An impressive and accomplished debut, Crawl Space, has one of the most engaging and dynamic releases of the year so far.

In case you missed the "How Far" video, Dazed Digital noted that Tei Shi "channels the Coen Brothers," going on to say "The greatest gift of Tei Shi might be her natural ability to transmute personal stories into sticky pop hooks."

WATCH AND SHARE “HOW FAR” HERE

Set for release on March 31 via Arts & Crafts, Crawl Space was written and recorded over a year and a half, the album traces a much wider arc, from Tei Shi's earliest musical explorations to this, her first long player. Growth is never easy, though, and if the title makes the process sound difficult, even claustrophobic, that's because it was. In fact, there is a palpable physicality surrounding this record, and it reveals itself everywhere: from the album's song titles - “Keep Running,” “Lift Me” – to its rhythms, to its astonishing cover art. Constant motion is a fact of life. A real, physical crawl space fits only one person and demands that person move forward, out and through it. Tei Shi's debut evokes that feeling and the experience of centering oneself, changing focus.

Born in Buenos Aires, Valerie Teicher (aka Tei Shi) spent her childhood in Argentina and Colombia before moving to Vancouver and Montreal, cultivating a strong artistic sensibility from a young age. During her studies at Massachusetts' Berklee College of Music she began to realize her full potential as a performer, and by the time she moved to New York City after graduation, the Tei Shi project was born.

ACCLAIM FOR CRAWL SPACE

"Tei Shi may have been a long time coming, but "Keep Running" feels like the debut of an artist properly establishing her musical identity with plenty of potential for success." - V Magazine

"Prepare your roommates for the impromptu karaoke sessions you'll be having to this song all year long." - Cosmopolitan (25 Albums to Obsess Over in 2017)

"Shimmering vocals, pulsing basslines, sultry synths and a vulnerable-yet-cool-girl
attitude"  - PAPER

"'Crawl Space' draws the focus in on Tei Shi's compelling and sultry vocals like never
before"  - Clash Magazine

"Tei Shi's acrobatic vocals shine once again on "How Far,"... The track - which pairs gut-wrenching lyrics like "If it pleases you to see me struggle/ I will" with dreamy guitars and buzzing production - explores the thin line between love and destruction.
And it'll stick with you."  - FADER

""Keep Running," a silky slip of R&B pop, a little Jesse Ware, a little Solange. The video, directed by Agostina Gálvez, which you can watch below, features the Colombian-born singer back to brunette, in various satiny numbers, curving her body with the sensual ease with which she delivers her melodies." - Noisey

"Fluttering above light, synth-driven production, the singer's sunny vocals shine, asserting herself as both a prolific producer and acrobatic vocalist."
- Out Magazine (Women In Power-Pop: 50 Musicians Taking Over)

"Teicher's breathy soprano vocals steal the show; Aaliyah-like, they're the strongest
instrument on the album." - BUST
